The Geodesic Head Web is constructed with a new geometric design, the Modular Pentagonal Element (newly patented), that minimizes the stretch required to fit the 2D tension structure to the 3D head shape. This allows improved fit to diverse human head shapes, and it allows use of a tougher elastomer to minimize stretching out over time, while maintaining a comfortable fit.
Shown here are first images of the initial prototypes of the Geodesic Head Web. A new machine learning technique digitizes the sensor locations in real time, using color overlays on the images for easy identification.
